Cost Estimating & Control |
GEE understands that cost estimating and control are fundamental to the effective management of any project. The cost estimate is important to reliably and sufficiently budget and track the construction activities. Integrating the cost and schedule estimating tools into the project control system are essential to ensure feedback of current actual costs and schedules for projects during the project life cycle. GEE’s range of cost management experience include detailed cost estimating, expenditure monitoring, pricing change orders, evaluating the costs of project acceleration, delays, cost-to-complete estimating, scope changes, and other impact factors. On a typical construction project, we prepare the cost estimate for alternative design solutions, conceptual, design-phases, competitive bids, and crew analysis. GEE uses cost control to assure management that all alternatives have been explored before a project overrun is accepted. This can be realized through daily monitoring of expenditures and the constant evaluation of work remaining. Our cost control capabilities include establishment of Code of Account, schedule of values, progress payments, change orders, claim management, and estimate to complete. In addition, we perform cost engineering and economic analysis for construction and operation projects.
Our staff is experienced with most major cost estimating and scheduling software packages. These include M-CACES, CES, Project Estimator, Excel, Lotus, Primavera, SureTrak, IEST, and Timberline. Our electronic submissions are compatible with those of the design team members. They are readable and alterable by the latest version of AutoCAD and Microsoft Work. We can reconfigure our in-house cost estimating software and tools to generate forms which match those required by the client.
